WORKSHOPS

Workshops: Curriculum Director, Brian Knowles, through an interactive workshop, explores the deep historical collaboration and solidarity between African American and Jewish communities. Examine pivotal moments, from the founding of the NAACP to the Civil Rights Movement, emphasizing shared struggles and triumphs. Participants will discover how these alliances have shaped social justice movements and continue to inspire solidarity today.

HIP-HOP PEDAGOGY

Hip-Hop Pedagogy:  What happens when students are given the mic to tell their story? Students don’t just learn about solidarity – they live it. Through this initiative called Bars & Bridges, Antar Davidson, our Hip-Hop Educational Director, uses hip-hop pedagogy to bridge the past with the present and turn classrooms into spaces of civic reflection and cultural connection. Through performance, song creation and discussion, students are led through the themes of our curriculum.
