Frequently Asked Questions
What screening options are available for Shared Legacies?
We offer multiple versions of the film to meet a variety of audiences and settings:
-
97-minute award winning feature film – ideal for theaters, film festivals, and large community screenings
-
60-minute version – well-suited for campus events, community forums, and intergroup programs
-
40-minute educational version – designed for middle and high school classrooms
Are there resources to support facilitated conversations?
Yes. When you screen Shared Legacies, Spill the Honey provides a Facilitator’s Guide with background context, discussion questions, and tips for leading meaningful dialogue.
For educators, we also offer a professional training module. Upon completion, participants gain access to a five-lesson curriculum for grades 6–8 and 9–12, incorporating both the 40- and 60-minute films.
To register for training, please contact Rabbi Dr. Judy Schindler. Drschindler@spillthehoney.com.
Is funding available to support educational or community engagement?
Yes. Through the Shared Legacies Mini-Grant Program, Spill the Honey offers grants of up to $750 to educators. These funds support programs that extend learning beyond the classroom through family or community engagement events.
