Robin Washington

Journalist, editor, broadcaster, and documentarian, currently Editor-at-Large of the Forward. A pioneering voice in Black-Jewish dialogue, he co-founded and served as the first president of the Alliance of Black Jews and was among the first to use the term “Jews of Color.” The son of Black and Jewish civil rights activists, he began participating in protests as a child and later chronicled the movement in his PBS documentary You Don’t Have to Ride Jim Crow!. His distinguished media career includes roles with the Minnesota Star Tribune, Wisconsin Public Radio, the Duluth News Tribune, the Boston Globe, and the Boston Herald.
