Rabbi Dr. Judy Schindler

Rabbi, author, professor, and interfaith leader dedicated to advancing justice, equality, and human rights. Rabbi Schindler co-founded the Charlotte Black/Jewish Alliance and is committed to building relationships that serve as a foundation for social change. She is the Sklut Professor of Jewish Studies at Queens University of Charlotte and Rabbi Emerita of Temple Beth El, where she served as Senior Rabbi from 2003 to 2016, and co-author of Recharging Judaism: How Civic Engagement is Good for Synagogues, Jews, and America (CCAR Press, 2018)
