Brenda Lawrence

Public servant and trailblazing leader who served as U.S. Representative for Michigan’s 14th congressional district (2015–2023) and as Mayor of Southfield, Michigan (2001–2015). In partnership with Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz and inspired by Congressman John Lewis, she co-founded the Congressional Caucus on Black-Jewish Relations in 2019. Prior to her elected service, she built a distinguished 30-year career with the United States Postal Service, rising to leadership in human resources.
